Mens: Open/No restrictions

Mens and Coed: 2009 Roster: Each team must file a roster (Player’s Name and Signature). A player MUST play in at least FOUR (4) games (25%) to be eligible for the play-offs. Each week the scorebook must be shown at Diamond Beach to record games played.

1. Absolutely "NO" protests WILL be CONSIDERED. UMPIRES decision is FINAL.

2. Umpire WILL supply ball for each game. BASES WILL BE SUPPLIED BY LEAGUE.

3. "NO" METAL SPIKES PERMITTED (PLASTIC are OK).

4. MAT will be used to determine BALLS and STRIKES . Batter starts with 1-1 count. THIRD (3rd) Strike Foul rule. Batter is OUT.

5. ANTICIPATION STEP ALLOWED, after ball crosses PLATE.

6. NO WARM-UP, INFIELD, BATTING PRACTICE. BE READY TO PLAY. "HOME" TEAM is 1^st Team number on scheduile

7. ALL GAMES: 55 minutes GAME TIME / 7 INNINGS. TIES.PERMITTED No “NEW” inning after 50 minutes

If an inning starts it must be completed. FIVE (5) Minute GRACE. THREE (3) Innings required for OFFICIAL game.

8. MERCY RULE is TEN (10) RUNS, after FIVE (5) innings. Or FIFTEEN (15) RUNS after FOUR (4) innings.

Maximum FIVE (5) runs in an inning. Last inning is Open inning (unlimited runs).

9. COED: LINE-UP MUST contain MINIMUM THREE (3) GIRLS, may contain MORE. MAXIMUM EIGHT (8) GUYS.

SIX (6) on field ONLY TEN (10) PLAYERS on FIELD. May START to bat with less, but MUST have NINE (9) to take field.

10. RESTRICTED BATTING ORDER ***. MAXIMUM TWO (2) GUYS IN A ROW. ANY TIME

An AUTOMATIC OUT will be recorded, if more than TWO (2) guys bat in a row.

If only THREE (3) girls, TRIXIE rule will apply. Girls rotate in Batting order (A,B,C, style)

11. UNRESTRICTED SUBSTITUTION in field, at start of inning. Player MUST be on Batting Order.

12. COURTESY RUNNER: Maximum SEVEN (7) per game. Male for Male, Female for Male/Female. Anyone on Roster (No Restrictions)

13. COMMITMENT LINE TWENTY (20) ft. from HOME. Runner must continue once past (FORCE AT HOME).

SCORE (SAFE) LINE behind plate at home. Runner must be past and foot on ground. Can not touch plate. Runner is OUT.

Runner CAN be tagged OUT. "NO SLIDING AT HOME". Sliding at all other bases.

14. WALK: If a Male batter is walked (regardless of count):

1) If Female is next batter, batter is awarded BOTH First(1st) & Second(2nd). Female "MUST" bat.

2) If MALE is next batter, batter is ONLY awarded First(1st) base.

15. HOME RUN Rule: ONE (1) per team per game. All others are STRIKE. FENCED PARKS ONLY. (Clears fence. inside park all OK).

THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS "NOT" PERMITTED IN CITY PARKS.

YOUR TEAM WILL BE SUBJECT TO LEAGUE FINE and FORFEIT POINTS.
